Cancun generally has a high sargassum risk, especially from late March/April through August. The resort mitigates this with a 2.8-acre man-made saltwater AVA Bay (Crystal Lagoon) for swimming and watersports, which is protected from seaweed.
Pristine white sand, soft white sands, turquoise waters, nearly 3/4 of a mile long. The actual ocean beach is described as short and not always the best for swimming due to seaweed, but the resort has a large man-made bay.
